Wilder promises to inflict pain on Fury
WBC champion, Deontay Wilder is promising to inflict pain on challenger to his title, Tyson Fury.
Wilder has a championship title bout with the Briton December 1.
It will be the Gypsy King’s third comeback fight, following more than two years out of the ring since his previous bout against Wladimir Klitschko.
Ahead of their clash at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Fury has been playing down his opponent by mocking his boxing style.
Video footage shows Fury asking: “What’s he going to do? Follow me round the ring like this all day?”
He then proceeds to joke about Wilder’s boxing stance.
The clip was shown to the American by journalists at BT Sport.
And it took him 23 seconds to respond, before revealing: “I can’t wait for the fight.
“This is what we are training for – when I look at him, I’m looking to hurt him.
“At this point in time it’s about the pain I’m going to bring.”
