Pacquiao retains title, defeats Adrian Broner in a unanimous decision
WBA World welterweight champion, Manny Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KOs) defeated Adrian Broner (33-4-1, 24 KOs) last Saturday Night to retain his title.
Pacquiao defeated Broner in a 12 round unanimous decision at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The scores were 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112.
The judges’ scores were very generous to the 29-year-old Broner, as he appeared to win only the fourth round.
Pacquiao, 40, fought like he was the younger fighter of the two. He outworked Broner by a wide margin, which was expected, because he’s known for having a high work rate.
