Guinness Nigeria, First Bank, others throw weight behind Conference of Nigeria Trade Association (CONiTA) 2023

Guinness Nigeria, First Bank and Institute of Trade Associations Management Ltd/Gte among other corporate organisations are throwing their weight behind this year’s Conference of Nigeria Trade Association (CONiTA).

CONiTA, is an anual multi-interface conference that provides platform for different trade associations, professional organizations and artisans both at formal and informal sector; business regulators, policy makers and sustainability advocates across industries to share practical models and ideas that can harness the inherent status of trade associations for good governance, inclusive growth and shared prosperity in Nigeria.

This 2023 edition which is the 5th is with the theme: “The Economy for Accelerated Growth and Economic Development in Nigeria,” and its scheduled to hold on Thursday 26th October, 2023, at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

Nelson Obine, Convener and CEO of People Planet & Profit Media, organisers of the conference said in a press release that the conference like the editions in the past, is an avenue for people to network and also deepened conversation about growth and development of the Nigerian economy.

He emphasized that the conference is open at no fee and encouraged online registration through the given portal, even as he assured participants that they should be able to learn from the necessary conditions that are relevant for accelerated growth and economic development.

While guest speakers are coming from numerous Associations, Guest of honour expected include Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; Mrs. Taiwo Abiose, Head of Entrepreneurship Department, Lagos Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment; Dr. Alexander Nwuba, President of the Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA) of Nigeria; and Mr. Taiwo Sowore, President of the Association of Computer Engineers & Technicians (ACET) among others.

The Conference has held four editions since it started in 2018 with theme “Harnessing the Power of Trade Associations for Good Governance, Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity”.
