EEDC wraps up customers service week with road walk
The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC), as part of its activity to wrap up this year’s Customer Service Week, embarked on a Road Walk.
The event which held on Saturday, had both top management and staff of the organisation turn up in their numbers to be part of the seven (7) Kilometer walk which kicked off at EEDC’s Corporate Head Office on Okpara Avenue, Enugu.
The Head of Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, said the idea is to encourage healthy lifestyle among members of staff and also use the opportunity to appreciate our customers for their support over the years.
“We used the opportunity of this event, which happened simoultenously across our 18 District Offices to appreciate our customers and also distribute handbills containing vital information our customers needed to be aware of”
Ezeh said that the 2018 Customer Service Week which kicked off on Tuesday, 2nd of October, was loaded with activities ranging from visit to some top customers; visit to some select schools to educate and enlighten the students on safety issues; community service such as traffic control and environmental sanitation; checking of customers’ vitals as they visited our office and lucky dip game, where some lucky customers won gift vouchers.
Customers were also treated to light refreshment and presented with branded gift items such as flasks, towels, pens, key rings among other souvenirs.
Customer Service Week is a global event celebrated annually within the first week of the month of October, it provides a platform for service oriented organisations to celebrate their customers. This is the second time EEDC its participating in this event.
“Customers are the reason why we are in business, and we used the occasion of the Customer Service Week to express our appreciation to them, and reassured them of our commitment to serving them better,” Ezeh said.
