
Dr. Nwuba, Victor-Laniyan, Engr. Ajayi, others to speak at CONiTA 2025

Dr. Alex Nwuba, President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Nigeria Chapter; Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults Ltd and OVL Foundation; and Engr. Lawrence Ajayi, President of the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisan (LASCOSTA) are among the speakers expected to deliver papers at the Conference of Nigeria Trade Associations (CONiTA) 2025.
CONiTA, is the largest and foremost gathering of different trade associations in Nigeria.
This year’s edition which is the 7th, is with the theme: “A Nation without Trade Association Industry”, and its scheduled to hold on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Conference and Exhibition Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, by 10am.
Organized by the Institute of Trade Association Management (ITAM), a non-profit, independent professional organization that shares empathy and believe in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and in the Africa Agenda 2063, the conference is open for free to members of diverse trade association, formal and informal entrepreneurs.
Dr. Nelson Obine, Co-convener, CONiTA 2025 said in a statement that the event is a multi-interface seeking to identify socio-economic contributors that advances inclusive economic growth, entrepreneurial sustenance and shared prosperity for trade associations and business owners.
He pointed that, CONiTA aims at deepening the conversation around trade associations with the hope to expose to the government areas that requires attention to achieve the common goal of shared prosperity and sustainable development in modern times.
Dr. Obine in the statement reiterated that participants are in a high mode as seating capacity are getting booked daily.

Some of the features of event include, Panel discussion, networking session and award ceremony to deserving individuals.
Other speakers expected at the event are Mercy George-Igbafe, Data & AI Advocate and Founder of learntor Organization, Engr. Gbolahan Akinsanya, National President of the National Electronics Technicians Association of Nigeria (NETAN); Amechi Obiakpu, media practitioner;Â Taiwo Abiose, Director of Entrepreneurship, Lagos Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment as well as President of the Lagos Caterers & Decorators Association; President of Association of Drinks, Groceries & Food Sellers; and executive members of several other professional trade associations in the formal sector.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State is expected to grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
