Brand Journalists elect new executives
Daniel Obi emerges new Chairman
Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) on Friday elected a new set of executives to pilot the affairs of the association.
The election saw the emergence of Daniel Obi of BusinessDay Newspaper as the new Chairman of BJAN, a body of journalists that reports the Integrated Marketing communications Industry.
In his acceptance speech, pledged to strengthen the association and uphold the highest ideals of brand journalism.
He emphasized the importance of collective action and strong visionary leadership in achieving the association’s goals even as he promised to work tirelessly with members of the executive to build a vibrant and resilient association.
Other elected executive members are; Lukman Ishau, Publisher, Marketing Space (Vice Chairman); Adedayo Odulaja of Flashpoint (General Secretary); Amechi Obiakpu, Publisher, Espinews and co-Publisher, MediaConsortium (Assistant General Secretary); Olufemi Adeyemi, Brandiconmage (Financial Secretary) and Melvin Udosen, Brandessence (Treasurer).
Others are, Adekanmi Fadare, Brand Expression (Auditor); Stanley Ihedigbo of Mirroronline (Chief Information Officer), and Rhoda Ogunseye (Welfare Officer).
The new leadership emerged following the expiration of the Clara Okoro led exco. They are expected to pilot the affairs of BJAN for the next three years.
