Today is World Consumer Rights Day
Today, March 15 is World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) celebration, a day set aside to draw attention to the plight of consumers all over the world.
The day was set to mark the definition of consumer rights, as outlined by former US President John F. Kennedy.
And to join the international community in the annual celebration, Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is holding a symposium today, to deepen discussions on issues affecting consumer with particular focus on the challenges of consumers in Nigeria.
With the theme: “Building Trusted Brands: The Nigerian Experience,” the event will see stakeholders in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) space lend their voices to the issues affecting brands in Nigeria.
Delivering the keynote address is the Chief Executive Officer of Kantar Millward Brown, Mrs. Ugo Geri-Robert.
Guest discussants for the event include, Folake Ani- Mumuney, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, First Bank Nigeria Ltd, Tope Asiwaju, Public Relations & Event Manager, De-United Foods Industries Ltd and Bolaji Okusaga, Chief Executive Officer, Precise Limited among others.
The event is holding at White House Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, by 10am.
