Scholarship program: Egbin Power hosts over 250 students
Egbin Power commenced the 2026 edition of its annual scholarship programme with a pre-test exercise attended by more than 250 students from the host communities.
As part of the program, it will also feature an education fair, boot camp, mentorship sessions and playgroup activities, designed to strengthen participants’ academic performance while developing essential life skills, discipline, confidence and leadership qualities.
This year’s program is the 11th and the power company says it’s commitment to advancing quality education and creating meaningful opportunities for young people in its host communities is unwavering.
The scholarship programme reflects Egbin Power’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which calls for “inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
Established as part of the company’s Personal Corporate Social Responsibility (PCSR) initiative, the scholarship programme provides free, quality education to outstanding students selected from primary and secondary schools across Egbin Power’s host communities.
