Mercedes-Benz

Weststar Associates Limited has promised premium car lovers an exciting fireworks of new products in the country, just as it predicted a better business year in 2017.

Nigeria business climate was hampered in 2016, as a result of the economic slowdown in the country and Weststar, the sole general distributors of Mercedes-Benz products in Nigeria, like other businesses in the country, were not spared.

However, the auto company is optimistic that 2017 will be better than the previous year.

Managing Director, Weststar Associates, Mirko Plath said in Lagos recently that his company will launch a couple of new products in the country.

“We have an interesting number of products launch in Nigeria this year, which will support government infrastructural project,” Plath said.

“First is the E-class with special features as a major step towards autonomous driving, the GLC – a much more refined successor of the GLK and a new minivan.

“The minivan will serve as a wonderful solution for city logistics and public transport. We are also expecting the arrival of the first-ever premium pickup – the Mercedes-Benz X-class. Finally, we intend to launch some new truck models to support Nigeria’s construction and logistic sector. All in all, the Mercedes-Benz family in Nigeria promises an exciting firework of new products in 2017,” Plath added.
