Integrated Indigo strengthens alliance with brand journalists

 

The Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Indigo, Bolaji Abimbola, hosted members of the executives of the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), when the latter paid him a courtesy visit.

The meeting was aimed at fostering stronger relationships between the perception management firm and BJAN, a body of journalists covering the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) sector and also, to promote mutually beneficial collaborations, enhance the quality of reporting on brands and PR-related stories, and provide opportunities for capacity building and knowledge sharing between members of both organizations.

Bolaji Abimbola, Integrated Indigo CEO, emphasized the importance of a symbiotic relationship between PR practitioners and journalists, noting that effective communication and mutual understanding are essential for achieving common goals.

“We believe that by working together, we can elevate the standard of PR practice in Nigeria, improve the quality of reporting on brands, and ultimately benefit the Nigerian public,” he said.

The BJAN leadership, led by its Chairman, Mr. Daniel Obi, welcomed the proposal and expressed enthusiasm about the potential benefits of the partnership.

“We are open to collaborations that can enhance our members’ professional development and contribute to the growth of the PR industry in Nigeria,” he said.

He further explained that the proposed partnership is expected to yield several mutual benefits, including training and capacity-building programs for BJAN members among others aimed at promoting best practices in PR and journalism.

“With this partnership, both the organisation and BJAN are poised to make significant contributions to the development of the PR industry and journalism in Nigeria, ” Obi assured.

The meeting which held at the PR’s Lagos office also had in attendance the executives of Industry and Capital Market writers.
