Gov Radda leads economic team to TD Africa
The executive Government of Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, accompanied by over 12 esteemed members of his economic team including the Chief of Staff, Mr. Jabiru Tsauri, embarked on a groundbreaking visit to TD Africa and the Tech Experience Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Focused on harnessing the transformative power of technology, the visit is set to revolutionise agriculture, stimulate skill acquisition, drive economic growth, and attract investments in line with the 7-point agenda of the Katsina State Development and Management Board (KTDMB).
Governor Radda, a visionary leader with a blueprint worthy of emulation, is dedicated to transforming Katsina State into a thriving economic hub. The primary objective of his visit was to explore cutting-edge technological solutions capable of advancing Katsina’s economy.
The high level meeting at TD Africa focused on the implementation of advanced technologies such as precision agriculture, IoT-based monitoring systems, and data analytics to optimize agricultural practices, foster economic diversification, and nurture a new generation of digital natives ready to facilitate economic growth.
Recognizing the pivotal role of technology in economic development, Governor Radda engaged with experts to identify opportunities for integrating technology across various sectors. Discussions included leveraging e-commerce platforms, digital payment systems, and the array of technology solutions offered by over 29 global brands in TD Africa’s portfolio, to stimulate growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance the overall business environment in Katsina State.
His exploration of the Tech Experience Centre which also houses the Cisco Edge Centre, allowed him to witness firsthand the latest advancements in various industries, underscoring the state’s commitment to good governance and a proactive approach to a tech-driven and progressive ecosystem.
