Energy drink brand, Fearless, auto brand giant, JAC Motors and Connect Marketing were among 50 brands honoured with the Most Outstanding Brands Award at the 2023 African Brands Congress, held last Friday, at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The brands which cut across various sectors were honoured for their outstanding brand performance and brand growth in Nigeria in particular and Africa at large, organizer of the event said even as he added that, every brand that has done well deserves to be honoured as super brand.
This year’s event which is the 8th edition is with the theme: “Sustainability, CSR and Green Goodness: An Opportunity for Brand Growth,” and as usual witnessed the gathering of stakeholders and different brand managers across various sectors.
Desmond Esorougwe, Chief Editorial Officer, The African Brands, organisers of the event told Espinews that among other reasons, the essence of the gathering was to create an avenue to learn, network and celebrate brands across Africa.
“The African brands media ltd is dedicated to ensuring that brands knowledge is distributed across all sectors of our economy and this is the African Brand congress which is the biggest brand festival of sort where brand custodians, brand professionals come together to discuss issues bothering the industry,” he said.
Desmond pointed that, the theme for the event, “Sustainability, CSR and Green Goodness: An Opportunity for Brand Growth,” was particularly selected to join the global conversation, as Africa is not left behind when it comes to sustainability.
“Africa is emerging and we have positioned ourselves to take advantage of the green revolution as well as climate change, climate finance, sustainability balance and all these issues are discussed at the world stage. Africa is actually positioning itself to leverage on it. Hence the focus of the congress to tap into the areas of concern of organisations and businesses,” he added.
