FCB International restructures, appoints Dias new CEO

As part of its expansion move to reposition the company, FCB International has restructured the top echelon of its leadership.

The international agency will now be headed by its former chief creative officer Luis Silva Dias as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

As part of his portfolio, Dias will oversee the network’s 62 markets spanning Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Sébastian Desclée, who previously held the role, has been promoted to CEO at FuelContent, the new content production arm of FCB globally.

Silva Dias rose through the FCB ranks since joining the organization in 2000. He served as executive creative director of FCB Portugal in 2002, and was later made president and CEO of that office in 2005 and CCO for Europe and the Middle East in 2008.

“Having one of our top, beloved creatives now leading our international operations is another testament to our focus on putting creativity at the core of all that we do as a network,” says Carter Murray, CEO, FCB Worldwide. “Luis has been a strong champion for pushing our work to new heights and I know he will continue to take us even further in this new role.”
