Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has set up 24/7 call centre.

The electricity company said that the move is in line with its strategy towards ensuring that its customers experience quality and timely service delivery.

EEDC said in a statement signed by Emeka Ezeh, Head of Communications that the call centre which is staffed with qualified and courteous personnel is operational 24 hours a day and 7 days a week; and is designed to attend to calls on diverse enquiries and complaints initiated by customers across the 147 Service Centres within EEDC’s 18 District Offices across the South East, and making sure the complaints are escalated to the appropriate team for necessary action.

“We identified this platform as critical towards addressing our customers’ needs, enhancing our customer engagement activities, as well as increasing our turnaround time in resolving complaints and fault clearing”.

To compliment this, EEDC said it has also set up a Live Chat on its website (www.enugudisco.com) where customers can log on and chat with customer service executives on a real time basis. This service, at the moment is active on week days between the hours of 8am to 5pm.

The company urged its customers to take advantage of the Call Center to lodge their complaints.
