Aiyedatiwa triumphs over Ajayi, others at Ondo state Governorship election
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled a total of 366,781 votes to emerge Ondo State Governor at the state governorship election held on November 16, 2024.
The results, announced at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Akure by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, saw the governor beating his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), by a wide margin.
According to the result, the PDP candidate polled 117,845 votes.
The APC candidate won across all 18 local government areas in the state, cementing his dominance in the race.
