Saturday’s Governorship election witnessed low voters turn-out compared to the February 23 Presidential election which recorded huge participation.

In some of the polling units visited on Saturday, around Alimosho Local Government the story is the same as many voters stayed away from the polling station.

Some of the voters who refused to participate in the governorship election told Espi News that the fall-out of the Presidential election contributed hugely to their disinterest in the gubernatorial poll.

One of them, Mrs Precious Chiadika said: “After watching what played out at the Presidential election, it was obvious my vote would not count in this election, hence there was no need for me to vote,” she said.
