Why Ezillo and Eha-Amufu 33kv feeders are out of supply- EEDC

Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has blamed the power cut in the Ezillo and Eha-Amufu 33kv feeders to a fire outbreak.
The Ezillo and Eha-Amufu 33KV Feeders is being serviced by the Nsukka and Abakaliki District.
The electricity company said in a statement that the black-out resulted from a fire which gutted the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Station, Nkalagu on Saturday, 2nd December, 2017.
“As a result of this development, the T1A Power Transformer at the Station, belonging to TCN, which supplies power to the mentioned Feeders was severely burnt, thereby putting customers in the affected area out of supply,” the EEDC statement read.
“However, as a palliative, EEDC is making alternative arrangement to provide supply to the affected customers.
“While this may not be adequate due to some constraints, we appeal to our esteemed customers to kindly bear with us”.
It however assured its customers of restoration of normal supply as soon as the transformer is replaced.
