Xiaomi targets huge stake in Nigeria phone market with Redmi Note 8 Pro, others

Global technology leader, Xiaomi is targeting a huge stake in Nigeria’s phone market with the launch of four Redmi Note 8 series on Monday in Ikeja, Lagos.
They are Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A.
Speaking at the launch, Marketing Director of Xiaomi, Somoye Habeeb, said, Xiaomi is an internet company with smartphones and smart hardware connected by an internet of Things (IoT) platform at it’s core, which has all it takes to remain in the industry and provide quality phones and not just innovation but, value with innovation.
“We don’t just sell phones, but sell quality with value with innovation and that is why we know that Nigerians will enjoy the phones we are introducing ahead the sale of the phones which commences November 4, across phone stores nationwide,” Habeeb said.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro, according to Habeeb, is the first phone brand to come with 64MP quad camera in Nigeria. The quad camera setup comes with a powerful LiquidCool system giving it an ideal output for photographers, gamers and seekers of accessible flagship quality experience.
Other features of the Note 8 Pro are, elegant design and Gorilla Glass 5 on its front and back to safeguard against accidental falls and general wear and tear among others.
The Redmi Note 8 on it’s part is a powerful model with a 48MP ultra high resolution primary camera. It is equipped with a 6.3” Dot Drop Display with 2.5D curved glass design with other incredible features.
Wrapped in glass-like material, Redmi 8 provides a premium hands on feel with a glossy surface, while Redmi 8 comes in a fine textured Matt finish with excellent grip and at the same time, reducing fingerprint residues to a minimum.
