Nike’s self-lacing shoes to be operated by smartphone

A new self-lacing shoes by Nike, can be operated by smartphone, the global sportswear giant has said.
The shoes which was launched on Tuesday launched will automatically loosen or tighten when one steps into them, and then adapt based on one’s activity.
The footwear will go on sale on February 17 for $350 in the United States. It is said to be controlled by the touch of a button or a smartphone app.
“We picked basketball as the first sport for Nike Adapt intentionally because of the demands that athletes put on their shoes,” Eric Avar, Nike VP creative director of innovation, said in a statement.
