Nigeria Transportation Commissioners’ Forum to hold webinar on rail transport

The Nigeria Transportation Commissioners’ Forum has concluded plans to hold a webinar on rail transport with the theme: “From the Exclusive list to the Concurrent List; Strategies for Rail Transport Development and Investments in Sub-Nationals”.
The Webinar, according to the organizer is part of activities in the build up to the 2nd National Transport Technology Conference and Exhibition scheduled to take place in October 2023 in Lagos.
The Webinar, which is the first in the series of the webinars that will dwell on other modes of transportation will bring policy makers from the national and sub-nationals, rail transport infrastructure providers, rail experts and thought leaders to brainstorm on strategies on rail transport development and investments in sub-nationals which will be declared open by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. (Mrs.) Magdalene Ajani.
Dignitaries expected to lead the conversation are Dr. Alban Igwe, Lead Consultant, Etcetera Consults Limited as Guest Speaker and Mr. Fidet Okhiria, Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation.
Dr. Kayode Opeifa, Executive Director, Center for Mobility Access and Development; Engr. Abdulhafiz Toriola, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation and Engr. Dr. Finbarr Zirra, Director, Rail Transport Services will drive home the conversation as panel discussants.
According to the program of the virtual event, Prince Segun Obayendo, President of The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA) and Barr. (Mrs.) Mfon Usoro, President, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport will deliver the good will messages.
Expected to join the webinar are rail infrastructure providers, rail experts and rail global media organizations all around the world.
