Lagos NUJ holds tribute for Onukaba-Ojo, two others

The Lagos State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), has slated Friday, March 10, 2017, to hold a tribute night for three of its members who died in the last two weeks.

Assistant Secretary of Lagos NUJ, Mr. Alfred Odifa, said in a statement that the late members are Onukaba Adinoyi-Ojo, Kayode Atofolaki and Segun Agbolade.

Onukaba Adinoyi-Ojo, formerly of The Guardian chapel and ex-Managing Director of Daily Times, died in a motor accident along Akure-Owo road on Sunday, March 5, 2017; Kayode Atofolaki, former Assistant Secretary of Lagos NUJ died in his home town, Idofin, Kwara State after a brief illness on Friday, February 25, 2017 and Segun Agbolade, Secretary, Federated Maritime Media chapel of Lagos NUJ was knocked down by a petroleum tanker at Trinity Bus Stop along Oshodi-Apapa expressway in Lagos on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

According to the statement, the tribute night with the dress code of white or black will at Lagos NUJ Secretariat, Ladi Lawal Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja by 4.00pm.

NUJ said the night will also afford members opportunity to pay tribute to their fallen colleagues while Clerics will be on hand to offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
