Lagos NIPR kicks off PR Week with Evening of Cocktail

As part of its activities to mark the 2023 Lagos PR Week, the Lagos chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has scheduled a series of activities that include, PR Practitioners Evening of Cocktail, Health awareness for PR Practitioners and annual lecture.
The Lagos PR Week is a week long event organised by the state chapter that comprises activities aimed at bonding PR practitioners and which usually climaxed with the Annual Lecture and AGM.
The theme for this year’s event is: “Innovation and Disruption: Unlocking Opportunities for PR Practice”.
Speaking in a press conference held in Ikeja to unveil activities for this year’s event, Comfort Nwankwo, Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Lagos chapter, said the 2023 Lagos PR Week will run from September 15th to Thursday, September 21st, 2023.
She noted that the 2023 edition promises to be bigger and better with a lot of activities lined up to make it memorable.
According to her, the event will kick off on Friday, September 15, with PR Practitioners Evening of Cocktail, featuring engaging discussions on the future of PR, networking opportunities, music, and premier entertainment. This event she noted will bring together key figures from Nigeria’s PR Industry and the Media.
“The next day, Saturday, September 16, 2023, is dedicated to Health Awareness for PR Practitioners, Friends, and Family, activities including a Health Walk, Health Check, Football Challenge, Aerobics, Fanfare, Tug of War, and more.
“There would be a friendly match between NIPR Lagos and NIJ teams at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, starting at 7:30 am.
“The grand finale of the PR Week is on Thursday, September 21, 2023, featuring the Annual Lecture, AGM, and General Elections, all centered around the theme “Innovation and Disruption: Unlocking Opportunities for PR Practice, and is slated to hold at Agip Recital Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, starting at 10 am,” she pointed.
The NIPR Lagos boss also reeled out other upcoming chapter events for the remainder of the year. They are, PR Digital Summit, expected between October 18th and 19th at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos and the Lagos PR Industry Gala and Award (LaPRIGA), slated for December 15th, 2023.
