Ijebulawa Garri, a locally refined yet nutritional commodity is now available at major shopping malls across the country, including; Shoprite, Spar, Games and Justrite among others.
Balkeem Nigeria Limited, manufacturer of Ijebulawa Garri said in a statement that, the need to bring the commodity nearer to the people necessitated the move.
“The need to bring Ijebulawa Garri close to consumers, brought about the idea of going into partnership with these shopping malls across the country.’’
The statement reads: “Due to the need to protect and promote Made-in-Nigeria produce, Balkeem Nigeria Limited launched Ijebulawa Garri in 2012. The product is properly made from filtered cassava products prepared in a very hygienic environment without any preservative added to it.
“It is the first locally waterproofed package and cartooned garri in Nigeria and is widely accepted in the Nigerian market as at today,” it added.
To make it a complete nutritional meal, Ijebulawa Garri, a proudly Nigerian branded product which has passed through the scrutiny of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for certification.
“The product comes in different size packs such as 100grams with peanut, 226grams and 2kg family size,” the statement added.
According to the company, Balkeem Nigeria Limited was incorporated in the year 2012, with a team of highly effective and professional management and workforce. It has a vision to chart a different perspective, through looking inward and turning some of the Nigeria local contents and natural resources into a beautiful bride as her first priority.
Balkeem noted that, it seeks to rebrand local resources into world brand products for the international market at large.
The company, said it supports the need to protect and promote ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ products and understands that Nigeria is blessed with numerous natural resources which have not been fully tapped into and therefore seeks to make a difference through rebranding of local contents.
