Fidelity Bank threaten debtors
Customers of Fidelity Bank who refused to pay their loans have been threatened with court cases.
The bank said on Thursday it will challenge in court any of its customers that failed to repay loans given to him.
The Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc, Nnamdi Okonkwo, who made the threat at the Bank Customer’s Forum in Onitsha, Anambra State, revealed that the bank has disbursed the sum of N2.3 billion to 110 persons through Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the country.
He however said N400 million of the sum had since been repaid by the customers.
Okonkwo further said that the interest of the bank in the commercial city of the state was informed by the involvements and interests of the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano and his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi, who held respectable positions in the bank. (Daily Trust)
