Emeka Rollas calls for Nollywood support

The National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollars has called on all Nigerians to help put Nollywood in positive light.

Emeka Rollars stated this over the weekend during the inauguration of the Ondo State chapter of the guild.

The president admonished the newly elected executives to be united and put the interest of the guild first before anything.

Hon. Desmond Olusola Elliot, representing Surulere constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, who doubles as the Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture, encouraged members of the guild to support the newly elected executives for the betterment of Nollywood.

The newly elected executives are:

Kayode Allen (state Chairman), Sola Omotosho (state Vice Chairman), Eni Olotu (General Secretary), Adebowale Olugbemi Stancy (Financial Secretary),   Ebesemiju Eniobake-Darlington (Treasurer), Ayokunle Ajisafe (PRO) and Akinyemi Adewunmi (Chief Whip).

Before leaving for the inauguration, the AGN President had at a meeting in Lagos dissolved the Don Pedro led Exco of the Lagos state chapter, whose tenure just elapsed and set up a new electoral Committee.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria Electoral Committee (AGNEC) is headed by former Lagos State chairman, Remy Ohajianya, while secretary is Tarry West.  Ifeanyi Ezekwe, Lara Akinsola and Angela Philips were also appointed.

Frank Dallas National PRO, Desmond Elliot, St Maradona Johnson National Treasurer, Dayo Amosu immidiete past Vice Chairman Lagos State chapter, Tayo Oteoke a.k.a Sikiratu Sin Dodo were among the dignitaries that attended the event.
