Marketing Space, organiser of the Creative and Branding Icons Award on Thursday, December 18, 2025 honoured Communications professional, Francisca Ikediashi with the Creative and Branding Icon Award (CBIA), among over 30 other experts from the creative industry.

The event with the theme: “Beyond creativity: building timeless brands in a transforming world,” attracted professionals from the creative and allied space, experts whose efforts shape the creative landscape.

Ikediashi, sits in her current role as the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager at Ajinomoto Foods Nigeria Limited, where she directs the creative, insight-led initiatives at the organisation.

She has been instrumental in enhancing the visibility and competitive positioning of the AJI-NO-MOTO® brand, applying strategic insight and collaborative leadership to sustain its strong market presence. Through disciplined execution and team-driven strategy, she has helped promote the brand’s image while reinforcing its relevance within Nigeria’s food seasoning industry.

In a thought-provoking keynote address, Franklin Ozekhome, Vice President, Strategy and Innovation at Chain Reactions Africa, urged brand leaders to embrace purpose, adaptability, and consistency as the pillars for building brands that stand the test of time.

Ozekhome challenged industry leaders, practitioners and creatives to rethink how brands are built in a rapidly transforming world.

His central message was clear and compelling: “Iconic brands are not created by budgets, awards or fleeting visibility, but by time, meaning and consistency”, he noted.

Lukman Ishau, Convener and Publisher, Marketing Space says, the platform was conceived to honour the thinkers and builders behind the scenes, those who challenge norms, invent new paths, inspire culture, and shape narratives that stand the test of time.

“Their behind-the-curtain dedication is the foundation upon which great brands are built, and today we proudly bring their contributions to the forefront.”

Speaking earlier in his welcome address he said, with deep cultural understanding and innovative thinking, the awardees have produced campaigns that resonate across diverse audiences. Their ability to turn local insights into powerful brand narratives have set new standards within the industry.

“These professionals have also been instrumental in projecting Nigeria’s identity through creativity. By telling authentic Nigerian stories, they have strengthened brand trust and showcased the nation’s richness and resilience.

Their work have elevated both indigenous and multinational,” Ishau said.
