Carter Efe defeats Portable in unanimous decision
Nigerian streamer and entertainer, Carter Efe defeated controversial singer, Portable in their May 1, publicised 3-round fight.
Efe, delivered a commanding performance to defeat the singer by unanimous decision at the high-profile Chaos in the Ring celebrity boxing event.
In a spectacle that blended street culture, showbiz flair and sporting intrigue, the three-round contest, widely trailed across social media, lived up to its billing as one of the most talked-about entertainment fights in recent Nigerian history.
Carter Efe dictated the tempo—combining measured footwork with precise punches that kept Portable on the defensive.
At the end of the final round, all three judges scored the contest in favour of Carter Efe, sealing a clean 3–0 unanimous decision victory in what marked his boxing debut.
“I Believe in God, Not Juju” — Carter Efe says after the fight.
“I believe in God, not juju. I knew I’d win. I trained hard for this moment, and I came here with confidence,” he said to a roaring crowd.
For winning the fight that pulled celebrities from all works including singers, Dbanj and Timaya, Carter Efe wins ₦50 million gift promise from businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, and a visa opportunity to stream in Germany offered by Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface.
