Aminu Ado Bayero is new Emir of Kano
Following the removal of Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi, Kano State government has announced Alhaji Aminu Ado as the new emir of Kano.
Quoting a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, Channels TV reported that the announcement came hours after Muhammadu Sanusi ll was dethroned.
Alhaji said the appointment was in line with the provision of Kano state Emirate Council Law 2019. “Section 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano,” he said.
