Hausa actor, Ali Nuhu, a Nollywood finest, has been engaged as the ‘Face of the Consumer’ by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Nuhu is a popular actor, screen writer and film director

The regulatory body said in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos, that the engagement was in affirmation of the declaration of 2017 as the Year of the Consumer.

It said that Nuhu, an actor, screenwriter and film director had produced and directed at least 20 movies. NCC said that Nuhu had also featured in over 100 Nollywood and Kannywood movies.

”This is giving concrete expression to the declaration of 2017 as Year of the Telecom Consumer.

”NCC has lined up series of activities, which will be flagged off on March 15, at the commission’s Head Office by Mr Adebayo Shittu, the Minister for Communications.

”March 15, is the World Consumer Right’s Day and coincidentally Nuhu’s birthday,” it said. The telecommunications umpire said that Nuhu’s engagement in a non-exclusive contract as the Face of the Telecom Consumer was thus historic. (NAN)
