
Adrian Wood returns to Nigerian telecoms sector as ntel boss

Former Chief Executive, MTN Nigeria, Adrian Wood has returned to Nigerian telecoms industry following his appointment as the new Chief Executive officer of ntel.
Wood, left the country in 2004, after piloting the affairs of MTN to an enviable being height.
He resumed on January 8, 2024, and took over from the former CEO, Dr. Babatunde Omotoba. Mr. Wood has plans to raise $550 million for the company restructuring.
As part of his brief, Wood is expected to shop for fresh investors and to rebrand the telecoms company, and he has assured the staff of ntel of his commitment and desire to meet up with his new role.
In the letter, Wood told ntel staff of his plans to introduce new products and services that have not existed in the Nigerian telecoms space.
