Joshua slows Paul’s heavyweight experiment in 6th round KO
Internet sensation, Jake Paul’s heavyweight experiment was slowed Saturday morning following a sixth round heavyweight defeat handed by Anthony Joshua.
The highly anticipated bout in Miami saw the Briton dominated the later rounds, flooring Paul twice in the fifth before the referee waved off the fight in the sixth.
Jake Paul confirmed that he suffered a suspected broken jaw from the final knockout blow and was seen spitting blood in the ring. Instead of attending the post-fight press conference, he immediately drove himself to the hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Boxing pundits pointed that, the defeat signals the end of Paul’s heavyweight experiment, redirecting his focus toward fighting opponents of his own size.
Meanwhile, the victory serves as a confidence booster for Joshua as he looks to return to the top of the heavyweight division.
